Rock The Trend

One trend I`am excited to try out this winter is Military. I know it has been around for sometime but I didn`t do it last winter. I think I like it more this season. I specially love the jackets.  The Michael Jackson ones!  His death really brought these back. I like how you can pair it up with different textures to make a hard or soft look.

Here are some looks I put together for different occasions and with different types of styles.






Night Out 

This is a very hard look with all the buttons and embellishments.

Zara has a similar coat for Rs.5,590/-

Lunch/Brunch

This is a soft and feminine look while the jacket gives it a little structure.

Running Errands In The Cold

The ring and studs are from forever 21

This is a perfect no fuss look. Laid back and casual and it has all the Military colors!

These type of jackets will be available in any high fashion store like Zara, Mango even Forever 21.

Although I have been dying to get my hands on these Balmain jackets.Its what started my love for military coats!

[I`ve tried and used clothes that wont be hard to find in India. The picture may not be of products or brands available here but I`am sure you can get something that looks like it. Wherever possible I have tried to mention where the products are from and where you can get similar things. But I haven't mentioned all the products because I see no point in talking about things which are absolutely not available here and its easier to find things which look like it without burning a hole in your pocket.]

There are about a gazillion pictures of her dressed inappropriately. Here is another one which puzzles me greatly.What is Wrong with this girl. She`s just seventeen for gods sake. I mean you can see another Lindsay Lohan waiting in the line.

And her inappropriateness doesn't stop at her dressing sense. She has a band called 'The Pretty Reckless' They were performing I think a week ago somewhere and guess what our favorite raccoon eyed teen did? She flashed the audience. I kid you not, Google it. Did i mention she`s SEVENTEEN? I mean wtf? She`s Underage! So does that mean the entire audience can go to jail for that though? But atleast she had pasties on! (to cover her..you know)

She`s real classy I tell you.

She`s the perfect kind of role model the teens of today need! 

But she this gives me a great idea for a Halloween costume! [How many of you wish we in India celebrated proper Halloween and not the cheap version of it! Its the perfect holiday you get to dress up and try to be as creative as possible!] Anyway. If you want to go as Taylor Momsen for Halloween all you need is something black and teeny tiny (preferably ribbed) to cover your personal parts (or not!) and some charcoal.

Gossip Girl Easy J Welcome Home.

Tim Gunn, Isaac Mizrahi and Ivanka Trump all came out for gossip Girls latest episode. And so did Blake Lively`s Boobs.

I dont mind the whole boobs out all the time thing. Sometimes she looks good with all the flaunting but not this blazerish top.[How cute is Serena`s latest conquest? Or conquerer?]  Come on. They could`ve given her a much better top. And the hair. My god. I dont know why this weird stringy braid and totally tangled hair are her favorite hairstyles.

even though I hate to admit it, she looked alright.


Jenny was pretty okay in the whole episode actually. And what she said to Blair and Chuck was true!

Quick shout out to Leighton Meester looking fab in a Victoria Beckam dress.



The best scene hands down was

You could actually feel the chemistry between these two. And the timing of the song was just perfect [Love The Way You Lie-Eminem ft Rihana]
Thank god they`ve stopped their 'war' So now there are more chances of them getting back together!! I cannot wait btw.

Faux Fur Coats

"Faux pronounced like "foe" is a French word for false or fake."

Winter is on its way and in Delhi it has definitely arrived. It gets quite chilly in the evening and it time to slowly get your winter clothes out. I am not a big fan of winter. I HATE the cold with a vengeance. But the bright side is I get to shop for new clothes for a new season : ) and look at the stuff I put away for the summer and forgot about!

I am wondering about Faux Fur. They have always been around and they almost always bring with them the fur debate. I am not going to go into that because I `am obviously Against fur. But Faux Fur on the other hand I don`t see the problem with. Anyway....

So Faux Fur Coats are a big trend this season and they seem tricky to wear. Sometimes they look good

And sometimes you end up looking like a yeti..when you didn`t want to and its not even Halloween 

Chanel

If its styled right I think it can look really nice. It gives a more casual and laid back look. Also it will keep you quite warm. I would wear it with skinny jeans and pumps or boots.

The white fur coat is from Zara for Rs-5,590 and I `am tempted to buy it. I was going through their site and they have quite a few fur coats, which would be fun to try on.

I think its a classy trend worth trying once, although I`am not sure I like the two tone ones.

But I am Loving this emerald green one!

Cure Your Gossip Girl Withdrawl Syndrome

Cutest Bitch I have ever seen!

This was such a Fun episode. And I LOVE love their dresses here.

 Haha! Blair And Chuck used to be so fun. Even when they fighting they had fun fights and dialogues. Now its become so serious between them.

She is SO silly

 One of the best dresses on the show? I think so. I really liked how they had entwined a long strand of rhinestones I think over her hair.

 These two are so god damn cute together! Why cant Ed Westwick date HER? Why must he date jessica Szhor. No one cares about Vanesssaaa!

Awesome! But So Impractical

I think all of us, who are obsessed with fashion and clothes and trends etc learnt early on that sometimes one has to compromise to look good. Wear those killer pumps, as they kill your feet with every step you take. Those really tight jeans that make your legs look amazing but make it extremely difficult for you to bend or sit or even walk!

Beauty Is Pain.

But here is a list of things that are not worth the effort or the pain!
However impractical they seem they do look good, well at least some.


Bohemian Wrapsody

Even Blair Waldorf stays away from headbands that go across the forehead. They are really cute but what is the purpose of them? They don`t take your hair away from your face and when you will take it off you will probably have a weird mark on your forehead. And look how weird the hair ends up looking.


Peep Toe Booties


I am sorry,as much as I am dying to buy these Louboutins ..

I know they are never going to work in Dilli Ki Sardi Or Dilli Ki Garmi. The point of a boot(ie) is to keep you warm.So doesn`t that peep toe make it counter productive? The material of the shoe will definitely keep your foot warm but your toes are going to freeze off.


Fingerless Gloves
I hope Karl Lagerfeld doesn't read this (yeah right, ha-ha) but fingerless gloves are the most impractical thing i have seen. Yes they make it much easier to type away at your blackberrys and iphones, and pick up objects without taking them off.But what about your little finger tips? Why should they have to work in the cold when the rest of the hand gets to be warm?

Coat Capes

Now this is one thing I dont think is awesome. Its just plain impractical.You have to wear a thick sweater underneath it and that just makes you look um..pregnant. Even Leighton Meester couldn`t pull this one off and she looks like an octopus with two hands.

She got so distracted by the sheer ugliness of it that she couldn't even walk properly!


Super Duper Skinny Scarves/Mufflers.
Correct me if I am wrong but I always thought that mufflers are supposed to keep your neck/chest area warm.So what do these do?

Is she going to hang herself? I would if I were wearing that. Then it would have some use at least!

But I have never managed to understand how people carry them. I mean how are you supposed to hold a drink, shake peoples hands etc while you are clutching..well at your clutch. They are people who carry them under their arms, but that is just simply unhygienic and who would put these beauties through that?
