Potter Head

"Anything that happens to me in my career, I owe to this job-Thank you"
                                        - Daniel Radcliff

"It’s my baby and if I want to take it out and play with it again I will.J.K Rowling on the possibility of writing more on Harry Potter

"The Books Are Untouchable" - Daniel Radcliffe

Yes this post is not going to be about fashion (well maybe a little bit?) but what can I say? I am a Potter-Head.(better than being a twi-hard right?)

So AnyHoo..if you have absolutely no idea about The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter (SHAME ON YOU!!) or have absolutely no interest..move on along. :) Fashion related posts will be back in a few days :)

I was randoming on Youtube on 7thy night and saw " Live broadcast of the Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2 Worldwide Premiere Red carpet" and I am like ZOMGGG!!  This was so incredibly cool, cos I could see what was going on in Trafalgar Square, while sitting a bajillion miles away. Ah technology these days!

There were also a BAJILLION people there, some of them had camped out in the pouring rain for the past five days! Thats dedication I say! I dunno if I could do that though, cos i HATE getting wet in the rain..but I totally get WHY they would do it. Our generation has grown up with Harry Potter. He`s our age you see! And I SO miss the excitement of going straight to the book store after school, the day a new Harry Potter came out. We used to then rush home and try and read the whole thing, otherwise the next day in school, people would jump up from behind and tell you the ending!! When Half Blood Prince came out I was being so good and reading as fast as I could, but made one big mistake-Went on msn chat. Someone has the ending of the book as their status. Ugh. Idiot.

So when Deathly Hallows came out I didn`t go to school for two days..i wanted to savour the last book and not have people spoil it for me.

But I always read the particular book before going out to see the corresponding movie-just to have all the details fresh in my mind and know EXACTLY what they changed and cut out in the movies.

Never been too big a fan of the movies though, cos they can never be as detailed as the books-and I for one LOVE the details. But till now I think I have enjoyed Half Blood Prince and Deathly Hallow Part One the most.
Although John Williams does an amazing background score and my favourite is Hedwigs Theme.
After the Seventh book, there were only the movies-Now there is ONE left.Thats it. ONE.

Anyway I could ramble on&on about this. But I wont.
Onto the pictures then!

Emma Watson in Oscar De La Renta Spring 2011

I absolutely LOVE this picture btw! Have you EVER seen anyone else be so fun on the red carpet?

Tom Felton A.K.A Draco Malfoy.
Godamnit! Does being a death eater make him THIS good looking?
If yes, then sign me up for the dark side.
I think HE was the best dressed!
Unfortunately he came with his girlfriend..Olivia Jade
who looks SOOO much older than him
Just Sayin

Bonnie Wright a.k.a Ginny Weasely  signing autographs.
All the members of the cast signed and interacted with so many people, it was quite impressive!!

With fiance Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays the young Grindelwald (the guy Dumbledore is said to have had an affair with)

Robbie Coltrane aka Hagrid

Michael Gambon aka Dumbledore

The woman who created it all-J.K Rowling, also in Oscar De La Renta Spring 2011

Left-On the runway
Right-Rihanna wearing another version of the dress.

Rupert Grint aka Ron
I have always liked him, cos he seems as goofy in real life as Ron is.
But ugh, his hair is JUST not working for me.
I think the rain ruined it or he just hasnt washed it for like a month
Either way its making him look short and stubby.

Ralph Fiennes aka Voldemort

He DOES have a nose btw and doesnt need help from Pinocchio in real life!

Helena Bonham Carter aka Bellatrix.
She dresses funny-but she`s Bellatrix Lestrange Okay so lets move on

Alan Rickman aka Snape Snape Snapity Snape

And of Course Daniel Radcliff
If only he was TALLER!!

Ugh! She was KIDDING

There was ALOT of crying

Then&Now
Every DAMN time Daniel !!!??

7 books, 7 horcruxes, 7 Weasleys siblings, 7 Hogwarts floor, 7 galleons to buy a wand, 7 positions to play quidditch, 7 Tom Riddle’s memories, 7 Potters with 7 members of the Order. There are 142 degrees in Hogwarts (1+4+2=7), 7 people went to the Shrieking Shack, Dobby has 7 socks and…7 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. Today, 07/07.

  3. The pictures brought back such good memories of HP. Memories because the novel series is a part of everyones lives!
I was shit crazy about Rupert Grint. Actually, Ron. Loved him soo much and still do. :D
Hermione's grown up to be a wonder.

Yes, if only Radcliffe was taller. But anyyyyhow, he's still THE Potter of number four, Private Drive, Surrey! That's the earliest bit I can recall. And now! Woah. It's been a great ride. All good things come to an end- rightly said but I REALLY hope Rowling takes out her baby and plays with it!!!!!

  19. I am so going to end up crying at the end of this movie. I feel like I've lived the last decade with Harry Potter. He's the most prominent memory from my growing up years. So many things revolved around the books. I agree with you. Not a big fan of the movies. I love the details. But the last movie was my favourite among all and I have great faith for the next and last one. It feels like the end of an era. The magic of HP can never be replicated.

  20. It has not hit me yet you know, that everything will be over in just a few days...until I read this post. It's the end of an era a magical journey for us. I cried throughout the post. Thank you so much. I have read much in my short life, but I really do not think anything else will equal the magic of Harry Potter ever. I gre up reading this books and watching these kids on screen who are around my age now. Nothing really beats that, right!

Thanks for an amazing post and a brilliant start to my day. This is probably my first visit to your blog but I already like you very much. :)

    Love

  22. Thoughts after reading this post: 1) Hermione (oops I mean Emma)is so fashion forward and the pixie cut is adorable on her. 2) JK's gown was fabulous! 3) Helena BC is quirky on screen and off apparently. What a fantastic casting decision for Bellatrix. and 4) Though I'll be sad that the series will have ended, I cannot wait to see the final film!
