Plea For Pastels

You know that feeling..when you are really liking something which is 'new'..really 'feeling' it..and you think yeah 'this' is 'coming' and then 'its' EVERYWHERE..thats how a trend comes into being..for the customer at least (exact words of my merchandising teacher btw..the whole 'feeling thing!) It is hard to describe though..I hope you know what I mean.

Even though a whole lot of market research, product placement and manipulation of the senses is put in this process..and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with a trend we are really 'feeling', its still a better way of look at things..to feel special and romanticize the whole process..

Like for spring..everyone is really 'feeling' pastels :)

As always India is pretty slow with these trends. Zara and Forever 21 have their spring lines out and they have really cute pastel things, but I guess it`ll take some more time for other retail shop to get them
I always like to try out a new 'trend' on my nails. Haha it does sound funny but its like a little area..a testing ground.
Did the same with the Neon craze as well. Started with the nails :P

So now THIS is my plea to the cosmetic world, in india - for some pretty pastel nailpolishes.

Inglot has a whole range, and I wish Lakme etc would take inspiration and launch some too and not wait a whole SEASON to take out colours. I dont know why these people are so slow with the launch of new things and development of ranges.

Is it cos the Indian customer is slow when it comes to catching up with trends? Or is the Indian customer is slow because the companies are slow and dont give us much choice? Hmm..

Lakme just launched their fast drying nailpolish or whatever its called and what I have seen from the counters t,heyre all really bright juicy colours. Do these people not look at forecasting? Those colours (although I LOVE bright colours and thank you Lakme for taking a pause from the generic peaches and maroons) are LAST summers.
Where are the Pastels Ms Lakme?
Lets try and keep up yeah?
And if you`re having trouble..look around and see what your international counterparts are doing
Same goes for you Colorbar, Tips and Toes, Streetwear, Lotus and Elle 18!

Anyway, these Inglot ones are a little too dull for me (yes I am quite a picky person) and I wouldnt want to pay Rs 490 for something I might not like.

Got these two KIND OF pastel looking nailpolishes from Forever 21 (again THANK YOU for getting some of your beauty products.)
They had four shades. I had tweeted this picture from the shop .

I guess I`ll have to search Cherryculture and Beautyjoint for it but I just want for once to be able to go to a counter and get what I want damnit. As do the rest of you guys I bet.

Nyx Nailpolish Salon  from Cherry Culture has quite a few ones for $3
But I have had a bad experience with Cherry Culture, although that was a year ago. Maybe its time to give it another chance.

NYX matte from Beautyjoint.com

Kleancolor fro Beautyjoint

These are the kinds I want

Sorry for these random picture and an even random-er rant.
Its just a sincere request to the universe of indian cosmetics :P

But I am sure a lot of people feel this way hmm?
